Colombian- Spanish soprano and musicologist Patricia Caicedo is a leading authority on the vocal repertoire of Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula and has taught and performed around the world. She has sung in the United States, Canada, Denmark, Holland, Germany, Russia, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Latin America.

Internationally recognized as a leading expert in the study & performance of the Latin American & Iberian vocal repertoire, Patricia has published seven books and eight CDs that are a reference in the field. She regularly gives concert-lectures and master classes, and serves as Artist-in-Residence at leading universities in the United States and Europe including University of California Riverside, University of California Irvine, St. Olaf College, Texas Christian University, California Polytechnic University, Universidad de Caldas, Manizales, Colombia, Florida State University, University of Texas at Austin, Keene State College, Wake Forest University, Brigham Young University, University of South Florida, Gordon College, Columbia College Chicago, Loyola University, Chicago, New Mexico State University, Columbia University, New York University, Brooklyn College and Queens College, among many other institutions.

Patricia is the founder and director of the Barcelona Festival of Song®, a Summer Course and a Concert Series dedicated to the study of the history and interpretation of the Latin American and Iberian Art Song in Spanish, Catalan, and Portuguese.

She holds a Ph.D. in Musicology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Medical Doctor´s degree from the Escuela Colombiana de Medicina.
